‘Conversations’

Conversations between two stages of my life and their interaction; my thoughts as a kid and my thoughts currently.

The kid version is represented by monsters and my current version is represented by  words of anxiety projected.

I wanted to focus on my small drawings. They are fun to draw and look at. These small doodles would allow me to work large scale which is something I’ve been wanting to do as well.

I’ve been writing down my thoughts whenever I experience anxiety. I’ve been looking to incorporate these thoughts into my art because it was important to me to find use out of painful parts of my life.

My anxiety plays out like a conversations between two people, where the anxiety serves to undermine and unnerve me. This flow of conversation masked and shaped the doodles both literally and figuratively. This is an example of one phrase playing out.
